Raw Pu'er, also known as green Pu'er tea, is Pu'er tea that has not undergone fermentation before being pressed into tea cakes. It naturally matures and ferments during storage, resulting in a rich tea aroma. Raw Pu'er primarily clears the body and arteries, reduces cholesterol, lowers blood pressure, supports heart and lung health, soothes the throat. This thangka, The Life of Sakyamuni Buddha, also known as The Origin of Sakyamuni Buddha, depicts the 12 major deeds of Buddha’s life. Created in the 18th century during the Qing dynasty, this thangka has been passed down for more than 300 years. While this Thangka is very old, where parts of it has yellowed and wrinkled, you are still able to make out the vibrant colors and exquisite artwork.
