In the beginning, the Universe was nebulous, in a state of chaos. Later, Heaven and Earth separated, defining four directions. Nuwa, the mother goddess, created humanity, and ever since, Heaven has been sending signs to human beings. These signs are mysterious and elusive, yet rich with meaning. May you comprehend the language of Heaven and attain transcendent liberation.

Grandmaster JinBodhi created "Start of the Universe" during the "Zen Sand Art" livestream on June 25, 2023. Using golden millet as sand, Grandmaster illustrated the origins of the universe, the first separation of Heaven and Earth, the creation of humankind by the goddess Nuwa, and the growth of all things... Sincerity, easefulness, beauty, and enjoyment are palpable in Grandmaster's creative process, imparting profound purity, wisdom, emotionality, and spiritual inspiration.

The period of the Northern and Southern Dynasties, which dates back 1,500 years, was marked by national division and turmoil. However, this era also held immeasurable historical significance for the development of the ceramics industry. As prominent families migrated south, they brought with them their living needs and quality demands, leading to the evolution of increasingly refined ceramics in the south. This period laid the groundwork for the later emergence of painted ceramics and the famous "Tang Sancai."

During this time, ceramics began to replace some of the roles previously held by pottery, bronze ware, and lacquerware, becoming one of the main everyday items in people's lives. The green-glazed precious jar from this era, with its historical imprints, has been preserved to this day, which is quite rare.

In ancient China’s imperial examination system, those who attained first place in the Xiangshi (provincial exam), Huishi (metropolitan exam), and Dianshi (palace exam) were honored as “Three Firsts” (Sanyuan Jidi), symbolizing a successful official career.
